How it works
The Jooby radio module is securely installed on the meter’s housing, where it remains firmly fixed. The installation and setup process is performed by the service provider and only takes a few minutes, without requiring the removal of the meter. The device operates by registering a full revolution of the meter’s dial, increasing the pulse counter with each completed cycle. Once the data is accumulated, it is transmitted over the NB-IoT network. The transmission frequency can be configured as needed, with the default setting programmed to send updates once per day.
Along with meter readings, the module also provides data on battery status and immediately detects any attempts to remove or interfere with the device using magnetic influence. The built-in electronic log can record 512 events or incidents, storing information for up to 10 years. This ensures long-term reliability and operational efficiency, making the system both durable and highly secure.
