How it works
Cellular networks rely on base stations for their operation, which are strategically placed near sensor networks. For instance, a gateway may be situated near residential areas equipped with radio modules for monitoring electricity, gas, and water usage. These radio modules collect meter data and transmit it to the gateway using the LoRaWAN network. Subsequently, the gateway forwards this data to a server for analysis through LTE networks.
