How it works
Installing the module is super-fast and easy using standard fasteners. Once installed, it is activated using an intuitive mobile app. Best of all, the module can be installed without detaching or removing the meter.
A magnetic field sensor gathers consumption data directly from the meter. It does this by detecting the meter’s dial rotation and generating a pulse for each complete turn. These pulses are then captured and recorded by the data transmission part of the module.
The collected consumption data is then transmitted directly to the utility supplier’s server via a LoRaWAN wireless network. Therefore, the supplier can obtain current meter readings in real-time. The data transmission rate is configurable from hourly to daily for maximum convenience.
All consumption data is stored securely in the module’s internal non-volatile memory for maximum reliability. This holds the data for two months where the transmissions are hourly or one year where daily transmissions are configured.
